It was a great game. Tenerife played well and were dominating the game in the first half. Various conversations around me at that point all stated what ever the final result Tenerife had played well. The first goal came from an error in mid-field and Benzema made the best of it and scored. The second goal was also from Benzema and the third was scored by a great shot from Kaka.
We arrived in Madrid about 12.00 and set off to the Stadium to have a look for the gate straight after leaving our luggage in the Hotel. We managed to find the entrance after a bit. It is a big stadium but we had been told where the away seats were so not too hard. After stopping for some lunch we met up with some Armada Sur fans and then we went back to the stadium.
Injuries leave Marc Bertran out of the game for 3 to 4 months with a small fracture in the pilón anterior of the tibia after a nasty foul from Royston Drenthe. He will have his leg imovilised for 3/4 weeks and will then need time to recover. It is hoped that he will be back after the winter break.
Manolo Martínez will have a scan today to determine the level of damage in his right thigh.
