Saturday interviews with Igor and Antonio Hidalgo.

Igor was one of the two players who was interviewed on Saturday after the training session on Saturday morning in the Maracena grounds. The CD Tenerife forward talked about the match this Sunday in Granada in Los Cármenes and the state of mind the squad has.
“We want to demonstrate that we are still capable even in this difficult situation. Right now we need to concentrate on Granada and how to win. We are approaching a difficult game both because of the rival and because few teams have managed to achieve points in this stadium. The group knows how difficult it will be”, indicated the Brazilian.
“We need to think about how we are going to play not what is going on in other games. The situation is difficult but not impossible. We need to fight to the end”, she added.
When asked about himself, Igor pointed out “I am pleased to have been called to the squad again and hope to get the chance to play. I am here for the coach”.
“The best we can do is play this Sunday. We want to win. We want to feel that feeling you get with a win again. If we work hard we can do this”.
This is how Antonio Hidalgo started his interview with the press. The Catalan mid fielder knows how difficult it will be in Los Cármenes on Sunday, but he knows the team are professional and they will give everything.
“It will be a good game in a full stadium. We would have liked to have come here with other results behind us, but it isn't so. We will need to go out and play at the same level as our rivals. If we play that way we will have chances. The game against Alcorcon is a good reference” he explained.
Hidalgo had hoped that CD Tenerife had achieved a different result last weekend, when they lost against Villarreal B: “I trust that we will look better. As a player I want to compete well against rivals at their level. This year has been hard but the reality is that we are capable of doing this”.
“We need to demonstrate to the coach that we can do this and that we can fight to the end. We need to show this in every game” he concluded.

Interviews after Monday night's game against Barcelona.

Kitoko, Juanlu Hens & Igor were the players who talked to the press after the game had finished against FC Barcelona B on Monday night. The blue and white players weren't negative about eh FCB second team but felt their punishment had been excessive in the Heliodoro.
Kitoko.- “The result was bad. They played well although we started out with a real desire to win. The first goal was a blow and after that they just seemed to continue. We want to forget this game and just think about the next one. We knew how well they are playing and after the scored we just couldn't get ourselves together”.

The Congolese mid fielder admitted that “ Our rival was very strong. We are in pain right now above all because of the result. Now we need to disconnect, then on Wednesday we will train and start with positive thoughts. We still have our heads high and can't afford to let go”.

Juanlu Hens.- “The result was a blow. Barcelona B made the most of their chances. They are a rival with a very clear style of play and they played well. We were uncomfortable on the pitch and once we were losing it was difficult to defend well. They caused us serious damage with counter attacks and know how to move the ball up the field. There are 14 games left and Saturday's is very important. We need to forget the table and look at each game”.

Igor.- “The result is too much and this hurts a lot. It is a game we want to forget, to learn form our mistakes and think about the next one. We need to give everything and this time we weren't capable of overcoming our rival. Losing at home is always bad and more so with 4 goals. Every player wants to play and I am no different. I am here to help and I am prepared for that. There are still a lot of points in play and we want to add them now”.

Antonio Tapia was then interviewed in the press room in the stadium. “Barcelona B made the most of their chances. They scored goals and that was something we were missing”. He believes that CD Tenerife had “their chances to score first, but they didn't. Our opponent made the most of our mistakes”.
The coach from Cordoba also admitted that “with the result against us, the sending off of Dubarbier was the final straw for the game. When you lose like this it is clear that we did something wrong starting with the trainer. I need to take responsibility. We went our with one plan , one intention but Barcelona B overcame us, above all when they were near our gaol. They defined the game no us. We need to move on and forget this loss, I only hope this won't affect how we play in Numancia. We need to thank the fans for their unconditional support”.

When asked about the next games, Antonio Tapia was clear: “We know that the situation isn't easy neither for us nor for the rest of the teams in this situation. We can't let go, we need to stay balanced and not let this loss affect us. We hope to recover and add the points we couldn't manage today”.

The Andalusian trainer continued by saying, “It isn't normal that we make so many mistakes in our game. It is normal though that the opponent make s the most of them. The skill Barcelona B has made it difficult for us to win this game. Now we need to think about things that we can improve”.

“We tried to play certain ways and in the first half we made several moves that were too soon and were inaccurately done. In spite of that the first shot at goal was ours and we had some good chances from the left wing. It is my responsibility and I want to thank the fans again for all their help”.

Granada CF have loaned him until the end of the season. Presented by sports director Juanjo Lorenzo he will occupy a European passport place as he has a Belgian passport. He will train Wednesday for the first time with his new colleagues.

The footballer from Congo during his presentation for the club admitted that he hopes “to help the club in the situation they find themselves. It is complicated, but there is still time. The mister has explained the objectives and tomorrow I will start to train with the group”.

The blue and white midfielder stated that “for a few months I have needed to change teams as in Granada I didn't play. I am happy to be here and I am sure I am the midfielder CD Tenerife have been looking for. I will try to prove this with hard work on the field”.

Kitoko will be under orders from Tapia from Wednesday. The player explained that “I have been a few months without playing and have been training hard. I know some of the CDT players by their reputations and from playing against them. Looking at the squad they don't deserve to be in the position they are in and I am sure they can move up the table soon”.
When asked about his time in Granada, Kitoko conceded that “I am missing confidence as I haven't played. Now I am here and CD Tenerife have shown that they count on me this gives me hope. I am here to add to the work on the field and if I can bolster confidence, I will” he finished.

Igor de Souza Fonseca was presented on Monday afternoon as a new player for CD Tenerife. The Brazilian forward came directly from Pontevedra, he too was presented by sports director, Juan José Lorenzo.
Igor talked about his signing, “it was quick and very easy. I wanted to come because of the quality of the club. This is something I am really pleased about”. He added “to play here fills me with pride. I am happy to have come and want to help the team”.
The footballer had the chance to watch the game played last Sunday in the Heliodoro and saw the three CDT goals, “The group is really good and is going to move up the table. I also love the fans as they were so enthusiastic”.
He also commented that “I know Nino and Natalio. I know they are both good players but different. I consider that I too have a style that is different to both of theirs more in the area”.
Juan José Lorenzo, also spoke to the media defining Igor as a “different forward”, with special emphasis that he has come to complement the players that we have now.
