In yesterday's player interview Juanlu Hens said he thinks that it cost them a lot to turn the game around last weekend but it served to prove that they can be a competitive team. He feels they need the win against Sporting and the three points to relaunch themselves in the league. He hopes that the support of the fans will help that the three points stay in Tenerife.

José Antonio Culebras stated that he hopes he has the chance to play again soon. "It isn't always possible but one always has the need to play. It is hard not to be choosen, but I keep faith that I will be choosen again soon. I always do my best at every training session." To finish he commented emotionally that he has a very special feeling for Santa Cruz the fans and the team and couldn't see himself playing for any other team."
Students from the journalism workshop in the IES María Pérez Trujillo school in La Vera (Puerto de la Cruz)were present at Thursday's training in the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium where they had a chance to interview the players.
